| World Kidney Day in Homs |
The participation of the Syrian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation with the cooperation of the Governorate of Homs, the Directorate of Health and Medical Association in Homs, in the World Kidney Day event focusing this year, on the awareness of citizens of the importance of hypertension as a cause of kidney disease, by taking several steps, namely:
• The formation of medical teams distributed geographically in the city of Homs to conduct a random survey of arterial blood pressure measurements.
• Distribution of road signs in several important places in the city of Homs to enlighten citizens on the need to control blood pressure and its role of renal diseases.
• Distribution of simple awareness leaflets to the non-governmental and social organizations to stimulate the citizens to the importance of monitoring arterial blood pressure.
• Encourage doctors, during the World Kidney Day by the Medical Association in Homs, to measure citizens’ blood pressure free of charge.
